Question: Who is Private Gold Trader?
Answer: Private Gold Trader (or short PGT) is a group of privacy and liberty loving people, who oppose the concept of ‘Know your customer’ (KYC). We believe in freedom of the individual, the free movement of assets, the unrestricted opportunity to conduct business worldwide. Our approach is: ‘Don’t know your customer’ (DKYC)

We are 3 people, with different experiences: technology, offshore banking and privacy. The head of our group, Jorge Amanda, is well known throughout South America, the other group members have been involved in important back office work for financial institutions in the past.

Question: Do you really value the privacy of your clients?
Answer: Yes, we do! You can work with us, only having an email address. We do not log you, or otherwise draw profiles on your business movement.

To further enhance your privacy we suggest you use PGP or GnuPG to communicate with us.

Question: Do you accept PayPal?
Answer: No, we don’t! And never will! PayPal is evil, you sooner or later will get your accounts frozen with them. Besides, the most reversible payment (PayPal) does not go well with the most final forms of payments, as all digital gold currencies represent.

Question: Do you accept credit cards?
Answer: No, what is valid for PayPal, applies also to all credit cards on the market. We think that credit cards will not serve very much longer as online payment instrument, as lots of merchants lose money and the additional costs for the clearing are way too high, if compared to digital gold currencies.

Question: You offer ‘1stdigit’ as a payment method. What is this?
Answer: ‘1stdigit’ is the short form for credits in an account at the first and only bank which adopted digital gold currencies as just another currency among the established fiat currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, CHF).

A ‘1stdigit’-credit can be any of the traditional currencies or either e-gold or goldmoney. 1stdigitalbank.com does not accept paper based payments/deposits (like money orders, cashier’s cheques, traveler cheques and corporate/personal cheques). We have been accredited with First Digital International Bank to exchange those paper based payments to credits at 1stdigibank.com.

When mailing us any paper based payment you can chose to receive credit in your 1stdigibank.com-account either in any fiat currency or e-gold/goldmoney. You have to pay of course our (low) fees.

Question: Do you offer any HYIP or other investment?
Answer: No, we don’t. We merely work as exchanger (or cambist, cambio)

Question: Do you offer any ATM-card/virtual credit card which can be funded by e-gold?
Answer: Currently we don’t offer this, and the chance is high we won’t in the near future. The reason is that our DKYC-approach is not compatible with the KYC-approach of all card organizations. The so called no-name card programs never last very long, most of these programs only exist to scam people out of their money - we do not want to play this dirty game.

Question: Do you speak other languages?
Answer: Yes, you may communicate in Espanol, English, Deutsch and Francais with us. We are currently preparing the respective language versions of our website.
